3800 Cooling in a Fiero

So to make the 3800's engine work in the Fiero a few different parts are needed. I used the Fiero V6 thermostat housing. I had to modify it a bit as there are two small hoses on the Fiero housing that you do not need so they need to be cut and welded up. Or you can buy a modified one, I'll sell you one for $150 if you send me your old Fiero one.
Below is a stock V6 Fiero Thermostat Housing before being modified.
Below is a couple of V6 Fiero Thermostat housings that I have started modifying to work with the 3800 Fiero swap.

There are a couple of Coolant holes that need to be plugged on the 3.8L engine since you won't be using them in the Fiero swap. The first one is on the timing chain cover on the top left this is easily done by purchasing a 1" freezing plug Doorman part # 555-017 is pretty easy to install, I  just used a 14mm impact socket and tapped it in. The next hole that needs to be plugged is on the lower intake it takes a 7/8" freeze plug or Doorman part# 555-014

The main Coolant hoses that you will need to purchase for this Gm 3.8L Fiero Swap are. Daco part# 71030 ( Connects from water pump the right side car line, But needs a couple inches cut off of hose at car end.) and Daco part# 71082 ( connects from Fiero Thermostat Housing to left side car line) It's pretty self explanatory though. The passenger side coolant hose will need to be cut off a few inches at the end where is connects to the Fiero aluminum Coolant line.

I'll post pictures of these area's as soon as I get more time I just wanted to document the part #'s for future use.
